What is the Process?

With over 400 corporations actively working in the communications space, as well as five major universities working closely with industry, the San Diego region has quickly become a global hub for wireless technology and related services through a mix of commercial and defense industries that is unique to our area. MarketLink has helped multinational corporations such as Samsung, British Telecom, and France Telecom identify and meet with innovative regional companies in a targeted and highly time-efficient manner: what we have coined as High-Tech Speed Dating™.

How does MarketLink work?

Your event is marketed to the over 8,000 tech sector professionals in our database. Those companies with products/services meeting your requirements (Example from British Telecom MarketLink requirements) are encouraged to submit an application.
You review the applications through our web-based collaboration program and select the companies that you would most like to meet. Occasional milestone conference calls will occur, but most communication with the CommNexus staff will happen through the collaborative website.
CommNexus schedules meetings with your “dates” over a 2-day period, secures your meeting venue and coordinates meeting logistics.
The evening prior to the sessions, you will attend a hosted reception with C-level MarketLink participants and selected industry leaders to kick-off your event.
Over your 2-day MarketLink event, you may meet with up to 18 different companies in one-on-one 50 minute sessions. A typical day is from 8 AM to 5 PM.

An initial discussion is then held to review the MarketLink process, identify your business needs, and establish timelines for your MarketLink event.
