Purpose: The Mobile Software Development SIG is focused on understanding the underlying technologies and strategies needed to build viable, successful solutions on mobile platforms, with an emphasis on the newer smart-phones.  The discussion includes education on the various software development kits, both native, open, and cross-platform and features some of new mobile hardware capabilities such as touch-screens, accelerometers, 3D accelerated graphics, geo-location, bluetooth, internet connectivity, cameras, projectors, etc.  Talks on applications that are unique to mobile and discuss both technical challenges, customer interface issues, and increase our understanding of the mobile marketplace and how to sell to that market are welcome.
